My name is Mike Scott. I have lived in Carterville for over
27 years. My wife Marsha and I celebrated our silver Wedding Anniversary, married
25 years, on April 4th, 2006. We have raised two daughters, Shannon
and Kristen and at present are the proud grandparents of 2 granddaughters, Mariah and Madison, and 1 grandson Hunter. During my years in Carterville I have been active in Jaycees, Lions Club, Rotary and
Tri-C athletics, having coached summer softball for 8 years.
I was Southern Illinois’ first independent mobile DJ service as well as the person who introduced
Karaoke to our area. I have operated and owned DJ entertainment companies for
over 34 years. Memory Lane Music Service is now the largest entertainment DJ
service in the immediate Tri-State area performing over 1,000 shows per year. We
operate seven full DJ/light systems, all at an appreciable higher quality than any other company in the area.
Memory Lane was the featured DJ/Karaoke entertainment at DuQuoin Fair for 9 years running. We were the featured DJ/Karaoke entertainment at Metropolis Casino until such time they put in their own
system. We have been requested to perform at some of the more prestigious events
in Southern Illinois, the most recent the Grand Opening of Heartland Medical Center and the Williamson County Pavilion. We are the DJ of choice for Dillard’s in the Illinois Center Mall for all events
requiring sound. I was invited to be the key speaker a few years ago at a graduation
John A. Logan business class. I have been asked to emcee several local events
and ceremonies. I currently play at four different venues in Southern Illinois
at which I have been the exclusive entertainment, one for over 15 years, one for over 12 years, one for 7 years, and the other
for 5 years.
Although a brief profile, my hope is to establish a basis for our customers to have confidence in my reliability
and commitments as a person as well as a business owner. My family and community
have been able to depend on me for 25 years. You can too. I hope we can be of service to you for your special event.
